New Jersey Gladiators Team Up With YES Network

(CARLSTADT, NJ and NEW YORK, NY) - The New Jersey Gladiators of the Arena Football League and the YES Network today announced a programming agreement. YES Network, the new 24-hour regional sports network featuring the 26-time World Champion New York Yankees, will televise seven Gladiators' 2002 season home games.

"We're very proud of this relationship and what it will mean for our franchise to have our games on a premier sports network alongside telecasts of the New York Yankees," said Chris Mara, President and General Manager of the Gladiators. "Our partnership with YES Network will offer us tremendous exposure in the marketplace."

"We're very excited to televise the home games of the New Jersey Gladiators," said Leo Hindery, Jr., Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the YES Network. "The action-packed, fan-friendly atmosphere of the Arena Football League will provide an attractive television product for our viewers."

The Arena Football League, entering its 16th season, is the fastest growing league in the world. With average combined scores of over 100 points each game, YES Network viewers will be treated to an exciting product. The air dates and talent for Gladiators' telecasts will be announced at a later date.

The YES Network will launch on March 19, 2002 as a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week premier sports and entertainment television network featuring the 26-time World Champion New York Yankees Major League Baseball team. The YES Network will broadcast to viewers in New York, Connecticut, and parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In addition to this core "live game" programming, YES will have other sports-related and entertainment content, including games of other New York area sports teams, replays of recent games, classic sports footage and sports highlight and interview shows.

The Gladiators are an Arena Football League team that plays Ironman football, and play their home games at Continental Airlines Arena from April through July.
