Re: New Stadium seat relocation info

I think it makes sense since they haven't started sending out the 41 game seats yet. I was actually thinking of upping my Sunday plan to the 41 game plan and waiting in the pool, but it seems like I won't get that much better of a selection in seats. So I think I am going to stay with the Sunday plan and just buy an opening day ticket on Stubhub.

If you mean "new" Saturday plans, there has been no news about any new Saturday plans going on sale. I am thinking they won't even think about offering those until after they take care of all the old partial plan holders who are becoming the holders of the modified Saturday, Sunday, etc. plans as they have been revised this year. Based on everything that is happening so far, I would not be optimistic about new partial plans being available if you didn't have one in the past. They have to hold at least some seats for general public sale. But there might possibly be some.

Hey if I have a seat available for opening day I'll match the best price on StubHub and you don't have to pay fees and get a very valuable hard ticket stub instead of an e-ticket. Don't know yet if I will have an extra seat or not, I've got my pair in 423 row 9 and managed to get another pair in 410

Re: New Stadium seat relocation info

Please count me in if a ticket is available. I would buy my ticket now, but since I don't see the date listed on StubHub with the first Cleveland game, I'm a little skeptical.

Re: New Stadium seat relocation info

Do you guys think there will be many Opening Day tickets available for a reasonable price or will the prices be similar to what last game tickets went for? Being a "Sunday" plan holder, I'm hoping to still be able to buy tickets for Opening Day, but I"m not willing to pay $500 for a $50 seat on Stubhub.

Re: New Stadium seat relocation info

All I know is that last year during the season ticket holder pre-sale, I could not get my hands on any opening day tickets. I was on early and still didnt get anything. I'm kinda debating whether or not to wait for the presale to get my two tickets or buy them on stub hub or craigslist now.

I can't tell you how you should spend your money, but I would be leaning towards buying on StubHub or Craigslist. The pre-sale is like a feeding frenzy. I don't have the time or patience to sit in the TicketBastard queue waiting for the site to crash due to the voume of people on there.

I now know that I will not be at Opening Day in The Bronx. I will be in Tampa watching the Yanks down there 4/13-4/15 and returning home in time for the first weekend at the new stadium.

Seriously, good luck in your search for opening day tickets. I hope you find tickets at a price you're comfortable with.

Now that the full season portion of this process is almost done, how a bout a quick survey of if you are happy with the seats you received?? I am very satisfied with how the process worked for me. How about you?

You'll probably be out of luck, but I'd do one of the following. Either:

Buy your ticket right now on StubHub where you can get your $75 seat for $500 or a decent Main Outfield seat (the $50 seats) for $350.

Wait until the partial plans are sold, when the StubHub underselling wars will begin (which is another good way to determine where the Yankees are in their ticket process while they're website remains with outdated info). I guarantee that the day the 41 game plans start to be handled, you'll be able to get a Main Outfield, Terrace, or Grandstand for 3x face value.

(Also, EBay tends to be the cheapest way to go if you wait for the right auction. The main problem I have with CraigsList is the difficulty in finding a good deal with how things are handled there).

That process should be starting any day now. Then (2) if you decline that, you go one step down the ladder into the 41-game pool and they will contact you after all the "step 1" people have decided.

And yes, there is a lot of info on this thread and it has been very interesting to follow the process.

It also appears that every ticket rep gives different information, so I don't think we can rely on any one individual rep's response.

Would there be any reason at all to think that declining the initial offering and entering the pool would land me better seats?

Man, I knew this process wasn't going to end well for me.

There is a chance. As I've stated in an earlier post, I was one of the last people to get a Full Season Plan, and they still had Row 2 @ Field Level available.

But when I originally took the full season plan, it wasn't really because that was what I was after, but because my ticket rep said I'd most likely not get similar seats as I had with my partial plan of the past. And while this is probably because they were trying to upsell me, they did say it was probably best to take what you're given this year, and worry about changing/upgrading in the future.

Better to have tickets, even if they're not the location of what you really want, than to have no tickets at all (unless all you're worried about is your wallet).

I know, ticketbastard screwed me out of getting tickets for opening day and the last game, but I got tickets for the HR derby, All Star Game and Futures game all on there on the day of the presale, so it is really a crap shoot. I got my two tickets for the final game at the stadium 3 days before the game for $75 each in tier box mvp right behind home plate. now, I'm not sure if tickets will go down in price, but i'm good at negotiating on craigslist so I'm not sure. It's all going to depend on how close to opening day the ticket pre-sale is.

I think I may just get tickets for one of the exhibition games. I'd imagine they have to be cheaper than OD tickets. I really just want to check the new place out and wander around the first time I go. I'm not so interested in paying 10X face just to say I was at the first home game. Thanks for the tip though..I'm gonna watch the prices when the other plans start coming out and maybe find a good deal.

You should check Craigslist for the Exhibition seats. I would bet you will get a great deal.

Re: New Stadium seat relocation info

To anyone who has an idea, I was an E 8 Game plan person, when the Yankees eventually give me a call/email will they automatically put me in the equivalence which is the 11 game plan? I would prefer to be in the 12 game plan, but then would that mean that I would have to decline what they give me and then put me in the pool?

From the way I understand it, you would have had to select the 12 game plan on your questionnaire. You'll now be placed in the 11 game package and you'll have to decline that and enter the 12 game pool. I would call a ticket rep ASAP and see if you can be switched. It's to your advantage to be in the plan you want when they are first allocated.
