Official 07 trade speculation thread!!

K it's early, but the Yankees already lack a healthy hamstring every ... EVERY day. so a trade for a pitcher seems possible, let the discussions begin on who to trade for what. Keep it realistic though.

I'll start with a few pitcher that might be avalible and useful enough.

1. BK Kim: he doesn't like Coors (which pitcher does?) and the Rockies for some reason think trotting out Josh Foggs is better.

upside: only 28, use to have great stuff, Rockies are dumb and often gets ripped off in trade and value their players wrong.

downside: it's Kim, he's basically the right side of Igawa. his stuff is nowhere like what it was in 01-02. the Rockies recent trade record have gotten better (see Hirsh and Taveres for Jennings)

2. Jon Lieber: the Phillies are morons if they continue to keep Brett Myers in the bullpen. and Lieber is at the last year of his contract.

upside: had success with the Yanks, the Phillies are also morons at trading. solid control /innings guy

downside: he's old, he's even more likely to pull a hammy after any particular start, and he's Jon freaking Lieber.
