George is ready to panic......the sox will play it cool

Who do you think Georgey boy will buy in a panic this year to try to make it competitive, the sox already have:

1. The best pitcher in MLB history
2. The best shortstop in the MLB (and hasnt even played yet)
3. The best Triple Crown threat in the MLB
4. Arguably the second best catcher in the MLB (hurt)

The sox also have the lowest ERA in the AL. Makes that Mussina/ Manny thing a little more important now huh???

Championships are much sweeter, when there not paid for............

I love it. Another Chowd shows up when things are going good for the Red Sox Nation. Quick somebody look at a calendar. Is it October yet? No? Only June you say? Good. Still time for the Sux to do their annual second half disappearing act.

I didn't know Manny was working for free!

Don't the Red Sox have a higher payroll right now?

But anyway, the Yanks are playing flat. If they continue to do so, they are in trouble. But I don't think a Red Sox fan can lecture a Yankee fan about the Championships, unless of course, you are very very very very old.

Pedro is certainly the best in the majors, but not lcose to the best in history, and I have a feeling if you'd drop the antagonism and talk about baseball intelligently you'd realize that we're wiling to discuss anything rationally, maybe then you'd also admit that he's not close to the best in history.

The best SS in MLB history? It's even debateable if he's the best currently.

How would you know??

And if this is true cam you make me a quick list of the RedSox homebred players that are gonna guide you to this Champioship that you're so ready to claim in June?

PS: If you're a fan of the next World Champions, please start acting like one.

It wouldn't matter if you had two perfectos and a no hitter, it's three games.

Against the Orioles and the D-Rays, 2 of the worst offensive teams in the league

What else you got?

I think you're slightly mistaken. It's the Yankees that have Roger Clemens on their team.

Yeah, we know what they HAVE.......But it's what they DON'T HAVE that counts -- a World Series Championship since 1918. Baseball is a TEAM sport, PM. Individual accomplishments mean nothing without selfless teamwork. You seem to be trying to convince yourself that the Sox will go all the way despite lingering doubts that the Yanks could overtake them by season's end. So go ahead and be happy............for now...........

Get your batteries ready.......

I cant believe Im being lectured on Morality by Yankees fans........this is great, I'll try to respond to each of you individually:

1. The best way to rank a pitcher is through ERA, correct? do the comparison between Pedro and ANY other pitcher in MLB history.

2. Gammons Quote: "Varitek is arguably the 2nd best catcher behind Ivan Rodriguez." Ladies and gents there is alot more to catching than offense, the quicker you figure that out the quicker Posada will leave that list.

3. Of the 3 shortstops, Nomar and Alex are 1 and 2 based on Nomars last year numbers. This year Vizquel is better than Jeter as is Chavez.

4. The 3rd almost no-no was against Toronto, pretty good offense there huh?

Look it was a great run for the yanks, no doubt but its over and George has no one else to buy........
