Observations on the 8/1 NH Fishercats and Trenton game

Tonight I went to the Fishercat/ Thunder game in Manchester , NH. The Thunder lost in the bottom of the 9th, 2-1. Here is some observations

1) Eric Duncan looked good going 2 for 3 and hitting a HR about 350 ft. off a 90 mph fastball
2)Ramiro Pena went 2 for 4 with a bunt single and a line drive off a guy throwing 90 mph.. Also made a nice play in the field.
3) Sardinha has a rifle arm throwing out a runner by 3 ft at home. The throw was right on line.
4) Omir Santos showed a good arm throwing out a runner and just missing on another. He actually laid down a great bunt.
5) Charlie Manning pitched 2.2 innings after coming on with the bases loaded and stopping the rally. It looked like he was throwing 85 mph slider and curves with a changup. Command was excellent.
6) Although Michael Coleman had 2 hits, not sure why he would at this level
7) The starter was a Grant Roberts who went 4.2 innings and then tired.. I was surprised to see most of his pitches were in the 82 -85 mph and were sliders and curves with a 71 mph slow curve as a changeup. When he finally got up to 88, it was the last inning and he walked a few batter. He only gave up 3 hits.
8) Negatively, Carson, Duenas struck out 3 times each and Pope couldn't hold the lead and eventually lost.

The park in Manchester, NH is new this year so it has all the amenities and a Jumbletron . Great place to see a game.

I score the games for an independent company, and I judged Duncan's HR as more of a 380' bomb.

I guess I'm a good luck charm for Duncan or something, because he's homered both times I've seen NH play Trenton. This theory will be tested again on Wednesday.

Hm, if it works, I think we need to invest in season tickets for you.

Carson should be converted to a pitcher.

i lived in NH for a year JDPNYY, and they're found in the northern end of the appalachain trail.

they're like a wolverine/badger.

essentially, don't leave your small dog or cats outside unattended. i lived in a small town just north of the MA border near keene NH. the family i stayed with lost 2 cats and a dog the year i was there. funny, the fisher cat went nowhere near my bassett hound though.

this one found here - is actually about 3 miles from where we stayed.
