My questions:

1) Why are Abel Gomez and Eric Abreu not in Tampa? I'm hoping that the only reason they arent there yet, is because Borrell and DePaula are just making one or two rehab starts before being sent up to Columbus.

2) Evan Tierce? I have pretty high expectations for this kid and he's stuck in extended s/t. That sucks.

3) Jose Valdez? He had a crappy year at Tampa last year, but hes gotta be at Trenton at some point this year. Maybe they're working on his mechanics at the complex.

4) Holmann and Hector Gonzalez? Frankie expressed his disgust at PP, and i have to second it. Both kids have big futures in the organization and it would have been nice to reward them with a shot at Charleston.

Edited as Mendez was added to Tampa's roster. Another guy named Arnaldo Abreu is apparently a relief pitcher for Tampa. Google comes up with a basketball player for Florida Southern, so its obviously not him. The guy got smacked around last night so i really have no idea who it could be.

The new PP article seems to indicate that it's Eric, but I'm not sure if I buy that.

Me neither, im guessing the guy wrote it based off the boxscores and guessed it was Eric. Theres no reason to believe that they'd be using him as a reliever in a blowout [or that he'd be giving up runs ]
