1895-- Babe Ruth was born .... or so evidence seems to show now.
(Ruth always believed he was born on Feb 7, 1894, but the only birth records that could be found on or near that date from his family were for a child born on Feb 6, 1895 -- no name was listed. Someone informed Ruth of this later in life, but he didn't much care, and didn't bother to celebrate his birthday a day earlier or shave off a year from his life.)

1911-- Former Cubs broadcaster and actor who played Grover Cleveland Alexander in The Winning Team Ronald Reagan was born. (Oh yeah, and he was also the 40th President of the US...)
