Washington at St. Louis 1:00 p.m.
Washington 5-9 (3-4), St. Louis 6-8 (1-4)

When the Redskins have the ball:

Passing:
YPA: Dallas 7.18 (3rd)

DITTO.

Pats are going to beat Jacksonville.

We're going to see what the Pats are made of this weekend, and I'm hoping it's the same stuff they were made of in past years.

I really like their chances this weekend.

Now IF they lose to Jacksonville that will also tell me this team just doesn't have it this year, in which case I can see them losing at TN next weekend and missing the playoffs entirely.

Very interesting game this weekend, too bad I won't be able to watch it.

I hope you're wrong about this one. I really want Vince and the Titans to win out, and hopefully make the playoffs.

Vince Young is dominating again, but the Titans defense has been awful today.

I'm still confused as to how my Jets can make the playoffs. I know they need to win out right & that's all I know.

Jets win out + Pats beat the Jags today = Jets make the playoffs

And Tom Brady just took a hard shot to the back, but walked off the field and doesn't look to be seriously injured.

Okay, I'll stop.

What about the Cincy-Denver game? I'm in the mind frame that we need basically, the AFC (minus the Pats) to lose.

No problem (although it's not Amy, it's my initials A.M., plus Yanks. )

As long as the Jets win out, that game doesn't matter. One team will leave that game 8-7, and as long as the Jets win out, they won't have 7 losses. So in the end, the Jags will be 8-8/9-7, the team that loses between CIN-DEN will be 8-8/9-7, the team that wins will be 9-7/10-6. The Jets would win out, and be 10-6, guaranteeing them a playoff spot.

Re: The NFL: Week# 16

It should be noted that if the Pats end up losing this game, in addition to winning out, the Jets would need JAX to lose @ KC next week (so basically, Herm decides our playoff fate).

If JAX wins today and next week, then the Jets would need the winner of CIN/DEN to lose their game next week. If that's the case, you should root for CIN today. Denver has San Fran at home next week, a game they should win, while Cincy has Pittsburgh at home.

Dick Jauron just pulled the most retarded crap ever. The Bills, while in field goal range, went for it on 4th and 5. It would have been a 45 yard attempt. Losman got picked off. Titans ball...ballgame. Still in the race!

Thank you Dick!

Yep, exactly - especially with Cincy and Denver.

It should also be noted that if the Pats had blown this game (they literally just won), and somehow lost to the Titans next week, and the Jets won out, we would have won the AFC East.

Either way, the Jags just lost to the Pats. Pretty much, the Jets will make the playoffs if we can beat Miami tomorrow. I'd like to hope we can beat Oakland at home the following week. That was the first time I've rooted for the Pats to win a game since 2002 when we needed the Pats to beat Miami and also for us to beat GB to make the playoffs.

Luckily, all these scenarios were just thrown out the window. Here's the official scenario:

Jets win out = they're in

Re: The NFL: Week# 16

Well, the San Francisco 49ers have to focus on 2007. A great effort to be in playoff contention this late in the season, despite being one of the youngest teams in the NFL. However, they lost to the Arizona Cardinals 26-20.

In my mind, this young 49ers squad is still a work in progress as the 49ers made some strides this season. So, a good season for the 49ers this season. Maybe in a year or two, they can be a contender in the wide open NFC.

Oh my. The Bengals scored a TD to pull within one against Denver, but the XP was aborted.

ETA: The Broncos will win, 24-23 over the Bengals.
