I don't think Reggie is the ROY at all. A lot of other rookies have been better than him. Depending on how the Jets finish off, I think Mangini could win coach of the year too. Before the season, a lot of experts had the Jets ranked as the worst or 2nd to worst team in the NFL.

By the way, I have to ask - Whatever happened to Mike Williams? Why isn't he playing? Is he THAT bad?

If Reggie doesn't get it, I think it may be his teammate Marques Colston.

Eric Mangini should get some kudos.

As for Mike Williams, 2 games with the Lions in the 2006 campaign, 0 catches.
He had a brouhaha with head coach Rod Marinelli about playing time.

With the Lions having so many WRs, they need to trade Williams for draft picks, but then again, it's Matt Millen running the show in Detroit.

I can't explain it. Seems like Marinelli just doesn't like him. Williams has been fined for a bunch of stuff since he's been in Detroit, but I find it hard to believe a guy his size couldn't be a better asset than Mike Furrey. Even Roy Williams has publicly lobbied for Mike to get on the field. It's crazy.

By skipping his ever so important junior year, Mike Williams is overmatched in the NFL. That's like skipping AA and going straight to the majors from A level. Technically Larry Fitzgerald did it but he is more mature and talented.

How can both Bush & Colston win ROY?

I'd given it to Colston before Bush.

I say Bush wins Rookie of the Year and Colston will win Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year are two separarte awards.

Not in football. At least not the 'official' AP awards. There's just the offensive and defensive ROY awards.

Even if their were two awards how could there be two different players who both play on offense? Wouldn't Bush or Colston win both?

With the man to my left, the Giants would be dwelling in the basement of the NFC East.

By the by, the league's leading rusher at the halfway point.

Not to mention the fact that Bush hasn't been very good this year.

I think Lawrence Maroney is having the best rookie year as far as RB go.
