No personal offense, but I just felt myself turing into the Miller Beer delivery guy, again.

I was in the Legends Suite for Opening Day and kept looking over my shoulder to make sure he wasn't around. I think he would absolutely blow a gasket if he saw someone eating Bananas Foster at a baseball game. (I almost did too, but then reminded myself that this was, after all, the Yankees. )

I love that guy - "I got to smell me a hot dog just so I know I'm alive!" It'd be worth the price of admission to get him to do that routine at the new place - replacing imported wine with Miller Lite in the luxury district.

Seriously, your average real fan doesn't go to a ballgame to eat filet mignon. You shouldn't go to a restaurant to watch a ballgame either.

That's true, but who is to say you can't have the filet mignon before the game and then quaff a few High Lifes during the game? That's pretty much how I played it.

I know you can get them at the Mohegan Sun bar, but it would be nice if there were some other options.

Yes, you can, there were even more choices then Becks and Heineken, I think the stand was on what what used to be the lodge level.

I'm going to say the Lobel's was amazing... I had high expectations coming in and they were exceeded.

Yes, the stands marked "BEER" sell beers like Stella, Bass, Guinness, etc... The ones on tap (some come in bottles) are larger than 12 oz but I'm not sure how much they cost.

I know there is one on the Terrace concourse. It's around section 310.

Yes they have many different beers at the stand marked BEER. The only problem is that the taps do not work. I went to the first 2 games and they were not working. What a joke a $1.5 billion stadium and they can not get the taps to work.

Lobel's, hands down. The prime rib sandwich was tender, seasoned just write and it was a filling portion.

They were working on Opening Day. At least at the one on the Terrace concourse behind section 310 or so.

Save your money on the Cuban Sandwiches. I split one with my wife. At $9.75 I found them to be a bit small and a bit dry.

Re: Best Food in the new Stadium

Have to say I liked the nachos...and I only eat them if they are good. I didn't love the garlic fries but put them in the ok category. Other than that, only had the Hebrew National dog and it was good, and it was actually hot!!
Had visions of the Miller guy so I stayed away from Lobels.

Re: Best Food in the new Stadium

Being a die-hard Eagles fan, I make two or three trips to the Linc every year to watch a few Eagles games. Let me just say this:

Pat's and Geno's are to Philly Cheesesteak as Famiglia is to New York Pizza.

You can go to Steve's on South Street, numerous places in South Philly, or local stands which offer much tastier, cheaper, and fresher cheesteak sandwiches. Geno's and Pats are old, soggy, and really have become commercialized.

Trust me. Go to Steve's. It's the best. As for best NYS food, Lobel's. Best value? MacDonalds accross the street XD.

Re: Best Food in the new Stadium

Garlic fries were good, but I don't think I'd want to have them regularly. The Lobel's sandwich was very good, but I think it's still overpriced for what it is, and with my budget, it won't be a frequent purchase. I haven't tried the Asian offerings on the field level--noodle bowls, sushi--all looked good (and kind on the calories!) but again, $15.00 for sushi isn't happening on a regular basis, either.
