Piecing together 2007 Yankees Schedule

I know its A little early to start thinking of next year when we have a pennant/wild card race on our hands BUT in case anyone would like to plan their vacations etc for next year according to this it will be AL East VS NL West AND we have dates for the Yanks/Red Sox series for next year...I only count 18 games so we are missing 1 game vs the sox somewhere

Love that we have two weekend series against the sox at the stadium instead of 1 this year, but hate the midweek one in late august. Not a fan of big series during the week.

Not necessarily, against the other AL East teams we only have 18 games so it's possible that they changed that for Boston next year as well.

At least the series are more spread out than this year. Do they really need to play e/o six times in April, those game should be moved to September.

I want to politely agree and disagree.

Agree because meaningful games in the strech run should not be played in April
Disagree because Im more in favor of facing the baltimores, devil rays, and torontos in september to be able to more easily pad the record and gain more ground.

Pretty sure I remember seeing a discussion in another thread about who the interleague opposition would be in 2007. Oh well, this seems to fit here too.

Sweet. I can book my tickets for the three game series and go see the HR derby at AT&T Park if it's official. I need a hotel room though.

This is either the 2nd or 3rd year. Boston is still 19, but Baltimore, Toronto and TB are 18.

Just noticed in a brief item about Boston's 2007 schedule that one of the dates for the Yankees' series is different from what you show above. No idea which is correct, however.
Quote:
The Yankee dates:
  • Home: April 20-22, June 1-3, Sept. 14-16.
  • Away: April 27-29, May 21-23, Aug. 28-30.

Re: Piecing together 2007 Yankees Schedule

I was listening to the Chargers Radio game on Sirius Monday night and I was listening to the Chargers feed.

The San Diego station was all ready pushing ticket packages for 2007 highlighting the fact that the Yankees are coming into town.

Yankees coming to Chicago twice in 2007 in less than a month.

3 game series May 15-17
4 game series June 4-7

It also appears they will go to the Bronx the first week of August. Date hasnt been determined.

So we're going to San Diego, San Francisco, and Flushing presumably. The Mets come to us, but who else? Arizona? LA? Are the Rockies coming to the Bronx?
