Here's a great article from someone who chose not to have her breasts removed. After reading this, I don't know what I'd do. I hope I never have to find out.

Here's a great blog by a lady with metastatic breast cancer:

I'm curious, just how much approximately is all the testing, 2nd opinions, hospitalization, etc, as well as operations, when it comes to double mastectomies, removal of the ovaries, and removal of the fallopian tubes?

Lastly is a highly personal question that I'm asking the ladies here, so this isn't aimed at you:

Would any of them surgeries make you feel any less of a woman? I'm not trying to be sarcastic; only inquiring.

I know of a woman I'd known for ages (younger friend of my Mom). She replied meekly "Yes" when I asked that question. I never dared to discuss the issue with her again.

Congrats to everyone on weddings/engagements/kids having proms, etc. So much excitement.

Also, that picture reminds me of myself trying to do yoga. I am so not flexible

Aw Vicki, Jacqueline is such a beauty!

Kim, thank you though I don't consider mine a traditional engagement by any means! The bf is still the bf. I feel weird calling him my fiancé, like we're too old for that nonsense or something. Hopefully we will actually go thru with the marriage part in any case. Calling him my husband will feel easier since that's basically what he is now anyway except in the legal sense.

I was behind a car this morning and the plate was DBH and some numbers. Guess who I thought of?

I have to do this too. Was going to go over winter break but I chickened out. Now I can either do it in August under my school insurance (which sucks) or wait until I start work (which might be a problem because if it doesn't go well... work).

Do you have all of your wisdom teeth, Kim? I do.... at my age (45) I'm a little worried about this. Most people get theirs out when they are much younger than I am.

Yup. One came in straight, one came in lopsided and the other two are never coming in. My dentist said they don't have to take out the straight one though (so I only need to have 3/4 out). And most people get them out when they're younger than I am too. My dentist just wanted to wait and see if the two lowers came in since the two uppers did (well, one only sort of did, but still).

I had to have my wisdom teeth sectioned during their removal. It wasn't a highlight in my life.

I had my wisdom teeth out at 15; they were all still impacted. I actually had five - two on the upper right. My parents weren't pleased, since they had to pay per tooth. We had insurance, of course, but it still sucked.
