The overrated teams thread
There are plenty of threads for individual teams, so I thought it'd be a good idea to discuss each week's most overrated team.
My nominee for this week:
The Denver Broncos, who are getting spanked by the Rams.

Re: The overrated teams thread
This week... that's all.
How do you go from the AFC C'ship to losing to the Rams?

Re: The overrated teams thread
Sorry, but as a Bronco fan, I've got to say that we are the poster children for this thread. I understand that KC's defense may be improved, but no touchdowns at home against anyone is a disaster.
I can't imagine any team more overrated at this point.

Re: The overrated teams thread
I had Denver going all the way. At least their D is playing well (8 ppg). Plummer might be losing his confidence. I think the drafting of Cutler really shook him. Jake needs to shrug it off and play mistake free football. Another problem is the Denver running game. Tatum only had 69 rushing yards against KC. Mike Bell is injured. Mike Anderson is in Baltimore. The Broncos lost a good deep threat in Lelie. Walker is playing well but Rod Smith is in his mid 30s. Smith got his bell rung and might be at least questionable for the Pats game. Who's the # 3 WR?

Right now, the likely AFC divison winners, imo, are: NE, Cincy, Indy, SD
WC probables: Pittsburgh, Denver, Jags, Baltimore.
Figures, Colts play the Jags following a MNF against Pittsburgh.

Re: The overrated teams thread
I think you can add the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to this thread. 3 points in two games?
I still think the Carolina Panthers will bounce back, but I am shocked at how bad the Miami Dolphins' offense has been. Wow.GO YANKS

Re: The overrated teams thread
Is it really surprising that the Dolphins are off to a bad start? Most of their hype was that they had a winning streak at the end of last year, capped off by beating a team that played their 3rd string QB, had their backup QB kick a PAT and might have wanted to lose for playoff seeding.

I second that entire post. Plummer has been rotten, just g-dawful.

Re: The overrated teams thread
The Pats maybe - not the Steelers yet. I'm gonna give them one more week (after the bye week).

Re: The overrated teams thread
Right now, after 3 weeks, I nominate my New York Giants. Hopefully I'll be able to recant after the bye week, but after 3 games how are they not overrated? Quality teams just do not get chewed up like this.

Sadly, my Giants belong here.
I have no association with "TEPLimey" at nomaas. Apparently a very disturbed individual likes to get their rocks off on pretending they are me. Sad, really.

Re: The overrated teams thread
I think it might be a bit too early to put the Giants here.
Indy
@Philly
@Seattle
What did everyone expect their record to be after 3 games?
I realize it's more about the piss-poor performance but I think our record is what most people could hope for after that 3 game schedule.

Those 3 teams are a combined 8-1 too.

I also feel we played well enough to beat the Colts and pending some (bad) calls from the officials, we might have.

Re: The overrated teams thread
Too early for that about them given the quality of the opposition and too early given that it's only been 3 games.

Frankly, this whole thread is too early.
