Re: The New York Mets Thread
There were 38 games left to play. The Angels went 12-26 in the last month and a half. Even 13-25 would have been "good enough" to win the division.

Wow, one of the many reasons I love Baseball is because of stuff like that, NOTHING is ever in the bag. Thanks for the info.

Not only were the Angels 12.5 up on the M's, they were also 12 up on the Yankees for the Wild Card, and they blew that too.

Re: The New York Mets Thread
Does anybody know of any website where one can view the division races in graphical format (i.e., a line graph, with wins as the y-coordinate)? It'd be interesting to see what an epic collapse looks like.
It'd be interesting to see the Yankees give chase to the Red Sox this season, too, even though the Yanks didn't quite pull it out."Every season brings this possibility. Every season features the promise of transcendence." - SJ Gould

I can't believe the Mets season has come to this.
That's what happens when you get too comfortable.

Beat the mets,
beat the Mets,
Last place teams defeat the Mets.
Hanging sliders, minor-league speed,
Guaranteed to waste a seven game lead.

It would be really cool if Reyas could ground into a DP with no one on to end the game.
