Jeter commercials
Anyone have pix of these? He did some Ford one w/Spike Lee (not my fave person, but long story). He also did one f/Gatorade, when they had their faces but kids' bodies. That was hilarious.
Thx.

Re: Jeter commercials
Those are good ones, my favorite though is the Ford one from this year when he's showing off this aircraft hangar full of Fords. Some girls are washing one of his cars randomly and they are like "Hey Derek!" and he smiles and whips off a quick "hey ladies".
The camera moves on and the girls are never mentioned again (or before) in a fairly long commercial. Its completely random and awesome. I feel like Ford felt the cars didn't stand on their own and they needed to remind the prospective buyer that Derek Jeter, a proud Ford owner, has flagrant sex appeal

Re: Jeter commercials
My favorite part of that spot is the inference that Derek Jeter might drive a Ford Focus like us slobs.

I like the ARod Pepsi one where they are playing baseball in the Pepsi trucks. ARod's driving the truck and makes a catch in CF and the guy tells ARod he has a future in the beverage distribution industry if he's interested.

Re: Jeter commercials
I am sorry, I really dislike some Derek Jeter commericals, He is good in some of them but some make him look so cheesy, not Derek at all. I have followed his career since he came up and he is one of my favorite players, right behind Mo. If they were ever to trade(which they won't) I would be so upset. Some of these commericials make him look like an idiot.

2 comments. I love the Jeter commercials and I can't believe Bronson said sh*t on his commercial - I didn't think that was allowed.......speaking of Bronson, I wonder if he's happy where he is. I know he didn't want to leave Beantown.

One of the best DJ and AROD commercial is the MLB "I live for this" commercial from last year where DJ, AROD and Beckett are all in AROD's living room playing wiffle ball and Jeter and Beckett rib each other about the '04 series Beckett says which game? game 3 or game 6? Anyone have a link to this commercial?

I kid you not. I saw a 2nd one this weekend, and it played during a Yankee game I'd seen while I was out.

Re: Jeter commercials
I love the gatorade "big head" commercial. I friggin love it. I laugh every time it's on. The fist pump after he hits the ball is typical DJ.

The Spike Lee and Jeter one is fairly new I think. I've only seen it a couple of times.
I do like the one with the big garage with all "his" Fords as well.
I don't think any of the commercials make Derek look like an idiot at all. He has a good sense of humor that isn't often seen on camera. It's nice to see him being a little goofy. You know you're an addict when you put Crackbook on your Crackberry. -Toaderly
