More Sportsline nonsense...
22 HR???? Try 10 HR -- 22 RBI. Sheesh.Jim Thome, 1B CHW
News: Jim Thome eclipsed Frank Thomas' 1996 club record for homers in April when he blasted his 22nd bomb of the year over center field at the Angels Saturday.
Analysis: Thome has clearly put his back problems -- behind him.

Hahahaha

They're clueless.
Should we start an official Sportsline stupidity thread, or make this the thread? It'll be entertaining.

Hahahaha. Earlier in the season when Pujols wasn't hurt, and had like 1673 HRs in 20 games, the "Analysis" was, "He'll be okay."

Re: More Sportsline nonsense...
Sportsline awarded Josh Fogg a win today -- but the starter only went 4.1 innings -- I think Scott Dohmann should get the win, and Fogg will lose 5 more points overnight. Unless baseball changed the rules. Hard to believe a team can take an 11-2 lead into the top of the 5th and the starter can't even make it through 5 IP....

Re: More Sportsline nonsense...
What they said about Boof:
Latest News
The Minnesota Twins plan to skip rookie Boof Bonser the next time through the rotation to help them separate Francisco Liriano and Johan Santana. The powerful lefties went back-to-back for the first time the last time through the rotation (against the Astros and the Cubs) and are scheduled to do it once more, Tuesday and Wednesday against the Dodgers.
(Updated 06/27/2006).
FANTASY ANALYSIS We now project Bonser, who was supposed to pitch Friday at Milwaukee, to pitch July 3 at Kansas City so Liriano and Santana can be separated. Fantasy Baseballers who had Bonser active for this week will have to take their medicine.

Re: More Sportsline nonsense...
Anyone else having trouble with links on the Sportsline website?
I have the scoreboard page bookmarked, but when I try to select any link on the page, the page looks like it's going to load, then says 'Done' on the bottom left of the web browser - with nothing on the page.
It happens in IE and Firefox...cleared cookies, cache, history, etc...
EDIT: I've got it narrowed down a bit - seems links that start with http://nyyfans.baseball.sportsline.com...... seem to work fine - but the links that start with http://www.sportsline.com.... don't work at all.Auction League: Bitches Brew - 2006, 2007, 2008 Champs

Johnson still having back issues Updated Apr 24
Johnson, Nick 1B NYY
News: According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Yankees 1B Nick Johnson had a stiffer back than he has let on. He will likely be out until Tuesday when New York faces the Orioles.
Analysis: It appears that with a little rest, Swisher could be able to give it a go during Fantasy Week 4(April 26-May 2). Considering that he has only produced one hit in his last 22 at-bats, the rest could be just what the doctor ordered for Swisher. Until he begins producing again, Johnson is barely an AL-only Fantasy option.

Milton Bradley, LF SEA
News: OF Milton Bradley's return as Seattle's cleanup hitter lasted six innings and two strikeouts. Then, Mariners manager Don Wakamatsu removed the angry slugger from Tuesday night's loss to against the Rays. The self-proclaimed Kanye West of baseball wasn't in the stadium immediately after Seattle's fourth straight loss. Multiple Mariners say Bradley was furious for Wakamatsu taking him out of a 3-1 game following his second strikeout looking against James Shields with the bases loaded in the sixth.
