This happened to me several years ago. I had Darryl Kile on my fantasy team, and I remember I was picking up a pizza and I heard on the radio he died, and I yelled "Dammit, he's on my fantasy team!" My friend looked at me like I'd just eaten a live kitten. I felt kind of bad after that.

40 pitchers, ever, have an ERA+ of 130 or higher for their career. 15 have 140 or higher. 3 guys have 150 or higher - one is right at 150, the second place guy is at 154, and Mariano Rivera is at 205.

I gotta admit, MLB Memes is pretty stupid, but every now and then they come out with a gem. "Evolution of an Oriole" was my personal favorite:

Hill hits for the Cycle for 2nd time -- in 11 days!!

Mr. Muhozi, MLBMemes needs to adjust Lee's stats up there: His innings piched, ERA, & Ks have all gone up
He'll never get another milestone like that one. So what? His whole career is a milestone. - JL25and3

I can't stand when people hit for the cycle. People get so excited about it. Just because something is rare doesn't always make it interesting. It's a 4 hit night. Awesome. I'd be more impressed with 4 triples.

Heard a very interesting interview w/ RA Dickey

He was born w/o a UCL in his pitching elbow. Wasn't discovered till his draft physical and he lost an 850K signing bonus

He's a very bright guy. He was promoting his book. Very interesting detail on the mechanics of the knuckler and his personal life

They ain't going anywhere unless they can get some better starting pitching.

Too bad they got rid of baseball in the Olympics. He would be a great candidate to relieve his gold medal glory while not currently on a major league roster.

    Maybe he's getting old.

seriously I don't wish anything bad for him but I can admit seeing him without a win gives me a chuckle.

Last year, Reds prospect Billy Hamilton stole 103 bases in 135 games. This year he's already stolen 100 in 78 games.

I wouldn't want her in my house.
''Gold doesn't go with my wife's design,'' Palmer said. ''She has a design shop for women's wear in Palm Beach, and she doesn't do gold.''
I don't like gold either, but at least the proceeds will be put to good use. She apparently doesn't mind green.

The more I hear about what Reggie said recently the more I think he is an asshat. You know for all the Yankee status he has it only runs so far when you had a long career and only 5 were spent with the Yankees. I know the guy is an arrogant sh!t but grow up dude.

You just come to that conclusion. I love Reggie, but he's been an ass ever since I started rooting for him during his breakout year of 1969, when he appeared on the front cover of Sports Illustrated in May of that year.

I totally agree. The Yanks butter his bread for life, and this is what they get for it. I was so happy that day Billy pulled him off the field and sent in Paul Blair. I hope Alex snubs him.
