Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I'm thinking about having Pastrami from the Carnegie Deli & Restaurant for the Super Bowl.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
hey, what IS pastrami exactly? I mean, i know what it IS b/c i've been eating it my whole life and I had it last night. But what's it made OUT of? And is it really bad for you? Because last night I had a pastrami sandwhich at work and someone said to me it was really unhealthy.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
Pastrami is corned beef that has been pickled then smoked then peppered. And corned beef is beef that has been pickled. So basically, pastrami is pickled, pickled beef.

I'm making frozen fish fillets in garlic butter and shrimp tonight because I was a little lazy and nothing's defrosted. We'll have pasta roni with that and broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I just received a Williams-Sonoma catalogue in the mail today and I'm thinking about purchasing the 14 piece All-Clad copper core cookware set on special for $1699.95 (reg. $2355.00). Am I correct in assuming a cookware set for $1699.00 includes a chef too?

Bump.
Happy Saint Paddy's Day!
Honoring ... Mr. Derek Sanderson McJeter's ... 3 for 3 day at the plate ... thusly showing the luck of the Irish ... I decided it was time to celebrate his Yankee day with an old Irish meal favorite plate! Corned Beef and Cabbage! Also with red potato's and carrots for this wonderful evening.
House will be smelling wonderful soon!

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
Haven't decided what to make for dinner yet. I would like to make a pot roast, but I don't have one and I don't feel like going to the supermarket.

Home made sauce and bread with olive oil. I made an apple crisp today too. It was good.

We haven't eaten yet. I guess it will be whatever take-out is quicker!

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
We had roast turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, baked whole sweet potatoes, and asparagus. JP has made smoothies for dessert, which we haven't had yet but they are yummy!

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I was glad to make dinner tonight - yesterday I had McDonald's for lunch and pizza for dinner, and I had a slice of the leftover pizza for lunch, so I ate my weekend's worth of takeout!
