Don't mind me. I know you said you weren't putting them on sticks.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I think it's been like 30 years since I've had a sloppy Joe. I've kept thinking about those, but never actually went to the store and got the stuff.

The last time I had a Sloppy Joe was in my high school cafeteria and 30 plus years later it's still repeating on me.

I made meatloaf last night. Instead of breadcrumbs I used cheddar cheese goldfish.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I think the HS cafeteria is about it. Now I see that they use green peppers and stuff. Some people add more ingredients than necessary. I say that ground round + onions and spices are fine. Mebbe some gravy or summin'. Wot-evah.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
Really easy...once again, I use a packet mix for sloppy joes. Ground beef, browned, then drain the fat and add the packet mix and a small can of tomato paste and some water. Cook for like 10 minutes and serve on hamburger rolls.

Tonight we're going to a Japanese Hibachi place for Nick's birthday. Yum.

I think tri-tip.
Just a Sox Fan with a Yankee Wife in tow... and with one little Red Sox fan now welcoming her new baby Yankee fan sister into "our" Yankees/Red Sox World.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I have my friend's son staying over (I owed her
) so I think I'm taking the 4 kids out to eat. I might try that Red Robin place or the Cheesecake Factory. Except.........3 boys. yikes.
They better behave or I'm gonna smack all of them.

Red Robin might be the better choice.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
Why is Red Robin more conducive for kids?

I haven't been there, but I think it sounds like a more family/kid friendly place. Maybe I'm wrong?

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I haven't been to Red Robin before and I've only been to the Cheesecake Factory once. Idk....we'll see. The Cheesecake factor is only 4 blocks away. I figured we could walk.

I wish there was a Japanese Habachi place around. I love going there.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
There's 2 places within 3-4miles of here. We like one better than the other. We don't go too often because it's not cheap, but we usually go for birthdays because it's a treat.

I think Red Robin is burgers and stuff, right? I think I remember looking at their website the last time you mentioned it because we don't have any around here.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I'm taking the kids to see Brad Sherwood and Colin Mochrie tonight so we'll grab dinner somewhere in New Haven. Daughter is lobbying for Anna Liffey's (the oldest Irish pub in the city) and the son is looking for Wooster street pizza. Mom has no idea who's going to win that battle yet.

Was it a recipe or did you just wing it?

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
It was a regular old recipe for meatloaf. I just substituted the goldfish for the bread crumbs.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
There was one down the road and it closed. Of course I never used the gift card either.

Re: What's on the menu this evening?
I have a gift card for there too but the closest one is in Jersey. It's good for a few other places too though. Chili's is one of them.
