Sterling broadcasting Nets game
Yankees fans watching YES right now will find former Atlanta Hawks broadcaster John Sterling doing p-b-p for the Nets-Mavs game on YES.
Apparently both Marv (football) and Ian Eagle are out.

I like when they make him do Dartmouth-Cornell basketball in front of 200 people with snow piled up outside.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Man I hate Jason Kidd and the Nets. At least Kenyon Martin isn't in Jersey anymore. He was the worst.

Heck, he used to use that one back in the 1970s when he was broadcasting Julius Erving and the New York Nets.

Jim Spanarkel: "And now I'm going to hand it over to the voice of the Nets, John Sterling."
John Sterling: "I thank you Jim. It is a balmy evening here at the Meadowlands..."
Lol once I found out JS was doing the game I had to turn it on...the Knicks are getting sodomized at home so hearing JS was a welcome change.

Re: Sterling broadcasting Nets game
It does sound funny, but it's not out of the ordinary. He was formally the fulltime broadcaster of the Atlanta Hawks.
Only a Red Sox fan can look at a man in full protective gear during a fight and call him an underdog.

"And Dick Bavetta has just ejected Jason Kidd! You can't dooo that...you can't do that in the middle of a playoff race. That's disgraaaceful! How sensitive can Bavetta be, who does he think he is, Elizabeth Barrett Browning?"
ahh I love that JS call of RJ's ejection
