What a unique and absolutely first-class entertainer he was. Rest in peace, Mr. Rawls. :sad:

I mostly knew him from the "Lady Love" song, and yes, he was truly a fabulous voice and an amazingly classy individual. I feel very proud knowing that there at least were people of his caliber around in the entertainment business, even if it's mostly the old-schoolers.
I may not have followed his career, but class and quality don't exactly grow on trees!!!

Me too. He's been dead for over a year. That's a lot of pages to go through to pull it back up. Others probably just thought it was a new thread and didn't realize he had died.
