You are infielder Mark Kiger of the 2006 Oakland Athletics. Who played all of two games that postseason, and never did play in a regular season game.

If that list went back to Brooklyn, they could include:

In arguably my best season (but not my best season according to the MVP voters), I am the only player ever with at least 150 RBI and an OPS below .900 in a season.

In my rookie season, I had the most RBI of anybody who wasn't in the top five on his team in RBI. My last two career RBI were with the Yankees.

In three consecutive seasons, I had the season with my only career wins, no games in MLB the next season, and I pitched for an MLB expansion team the year after that.

It is. On another note, I wonder if any other pitcher has had at least 10 career wins all in one season with at least four other winless seasons.

I finished second in the Rookie of the Year voting, but two years before that I made my MLB debut with a different team.

You are Marcelino López who threw 6 inning for Philly in 1963 was the PTBNL in a 1964 deal with California before finishing 2nd to Curt Blefary in the AL ROY voting in 1965.

I don't know anything about Marcelino Lopez. The player I'm referring to is active.

Then you're referring to scott podsednik.

But Marcelino Lopez would still be a correct answer.

Yes but my answer was also correct as Big_E mentions and he did it more than 3 decades before Scott. Interstingly enough on both players they broke in in one league and won the ROY for the other league.

I wonder if anyone else satisfies the criteria for your question?

Lou Piniella won ROY rather than finishing second, as the question states. However, it was with his third major-league team.

Then are we supposed to be mind readers and GUESS which player you were thinking of?

"WHO AM I: This player hit 4 HR in a game"

    "Lou Gehrig."
    "Nope."
    "Gehrig did it."
"I'm not thinking of him. The player I'm thinking of is active"

    "Josh Hamilton"
    "Yes, Hamilton."

No, but it's easier to find a list of players with 4 home runs in a game and know how many there are than to find out how many players could answer my question. I made it up referring to Podsednik and do you expect me to say I was referring to somebody I hadn't heard of when that player was guessed?

No but looking him up and going, "damn my question has multiple answers!" might have been a nice touch.
