I just got back from a week long "disappearance" or you could call it by what it really was... a suspension. I was suspended because the mods didn't like something I said so they changed it and I let them and the forum know I was not happy about that.

At least as far as ITL goes, I think some posters get turned off posting because of the agressive way some people have of posting their opinions and their refusal to accept any other opinions but their own.This is usually accompanied with an insult like, " That's stupid" , or, " You are crazy if you think that" type of response. And if you are not armed with a ton of stats to support your opinion,forget about it. Sometimes it's just more fun to read than participate.

I must admit, it's much more fun reading. I noticed, I lurk a lot more than I ever did before on every forum that I'm on now, whether it be on NYYFans.com or elsewhere. But whenever I don't have a membership or posting capabilities to a forum, I start wanting to respond more than ever.

(Last I talked to sori -- which was a handful of months ago -- she said she was taking some time off from the boards or something, which is understandable -- I'm pretty sure she's back in school now so she's probably busy.) Their presence in the LTE is sorely missed.

I could rattle off a whole list of names from way back in the day of posters who I really wish were still around -- a lot of the 'Courtiers' and 'CBers' come to mind right away. But they've all been MIA for so long that most people here probably wouldn't even know who they were.
