Skins source confirms burgundy on burgundy uniforms for tonight's game.
Seems kinda high-schoolish to me, but as long as they win....Metallica. Screaming crowd. Jog to the mound. Game over. - Chad Jennings

Re: The Redskins Thread
Really? I cant remember the last time I've seen the Skins not wear white at home. This will be as strange as if Dallas wore blue at home.

I think the last time the Redskins didn't wear white at home was in 2003.

Not even the Redskins can stop the Obama freight train.
The Pittsburgh D is tough enough by themselves. This was just too much.

I'm just gonna quote someone from Extremeskins:
"If this is the west coast offense, the west coast can have it back".
Pitiful offense tonight.

Yeah, that was pitiful. How many chances did they take throwing the ball deep? I can only think of the one to Moss.

And you are worthless. Contribute something to a thread. Other than saying the Redskins/Cowboys are overrated.

I agree. Constant red skin could be related to melanoma or skin cancer.

That would be hilarious. I wouldn't care what team it was. I'd like to see 20 reps going from one team.

Well they eeked one out over the SeaHags today. Guess that's a good thing for you up there in Seattle, eh?
Man I fear some of the games we've got coming up if they don't start playing better.

Re: The Redskins Thread
At least they got a win in Qwest Field for the first time. Nothing impressive about it and many Hawks fans here are past giving a crap about it anyway.

Maybe this year. I didn't go to the game though.

It's a combination of the crowd and the acoustics Paul Allen had built into the stadium. The crowd coverings on each side of the stadium really keeps the noise in.
Even if I could have gone, it would not been as fun to rub into a 2-9 team.
The playoff game last year really burns me. We had that game in the palm of our hands and let it get away. When we got that recovery on the kickoff, you could hear a pin drop there and they were crapping their pants. That would have been a sweet day for me to give it back to all those that gave me a lot of sh*t on the way in.
Doesn't look like there will be any playoff trips to Qwest anytime soon.Spring Training is just around the corner!

I've been to half a dozen Seahawks games, and it is most definitely not.

Yes we are. However, I like the direction this team is going despite some of the disappointing games this year.

Re: The Redskins Thread
Tough game against the Giants but the crowd at FedEx was quite civil and good-humored. A nice change of pace from Eagles and Patriots fans. I have to say that the stadium was surprisingly unimpressive for such a new structure.

Re: The Redskins Thread
The team is imploding from within:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3758372
"WASHINGTON -- Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis unleashed a load of frustration toward rookie coach Jim Zorn on Tuesday, criticizing him for giving inconsistent messages and sarcastically calling Zorn a "genius."
Portis, in his weekly appearance on ESPN 980 radio, was still smarting from his lack of playing time in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, when he was removed from the game after the first series of the second half.
"Either you feel like you need to sever ties with me -- split ties with me -- but don't sit here and throw me out like I don't pay attention, like I don't know what's going on, like I'm making mistakes, like I'm the problem," Portis said. "It is what it is, bro." "
Zorn said Monday he did not use Portis for most of the second half against the Ravens because Portis' lack of practice time had finally caught up to the running back. The coach said Portis had stayed in to block too long instead of going out for a pass on some occasions in the first half."Spring Training is just around the corner!

I thought only the man, the myth, the legend himself was capable of taking a team that started 6-2 and then completely losing them while managing to miss the playoffs.
Enter Jim Zorn.
Told my wife 1 play into the game that we wouldn't be able to tell which team was the 1-11-1 team today. Then at 14-0 the offense literally put me to sleep on the couch. Woke up to watch the D perform the same game-sealing drive as last week.
I can be OC of the Redskins right now. The daring/creative Jim Zorn of the first few weeks of the season is long gone. Neutered at some point.
I can call the offense from my sleep.
1st down: Run. -2 yards to +2 yards.
2nd down: Run. 0 to +4 yards.
3rd down: Pass. Almost certainly short of the first down marker and we are stopped short. Options include missing a wide open receiver by 3 yards and said 4 yard out patter (on 3rd and 8) or in the miraculous occurrence the pass is completed past the first down yardage, even odds on a fumble.
But hey we had 9 players lead the positions in the Pro Bowl fan voting. Glad Snyder and Vinny were so into that "Vote the Redskins ticket" thing this year. :middle finger:Metallica. Screaming crowd. Jog to the mound. Game over. - Chad Jennings
