Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
No doubt about it, but the W.S. are the best team in baseball, and all of a sudden they can't handle the Sox. Three days ago they tamed our somewhat potent offense. It's just kinda lame on the W.S. behalf IMO.

Best record and best team are two different things. The Cardinals are probably the best team in baseball. Hell, I'd rather face the White Sox than the A's right now.

Kind of lame? Don't tell me you honestly think the White Sox aren't trying to win, cause that's sure what that word seems to be implying.

They're just part of the conspiracy -- MLB, the umps, the ChiSox, etc. They're all just screwing the Yankees.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
agreed. every time it seems like they never lose again. Plus they killed the chisox best 2 pitchers this season and we got manhandled by the back end of their rotation, not to mention Jose freakin Contreras.

Offensively? They've always been better. I'm sure most haven't noticed and probably don't care, but their pitching really hasn't been impressive even thorugh this hot streak they're on.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
This run that the Sox are on realistically dates back to the Tampa Bay series for them. And it's no coincidence that it's coincided with a long homestand.
Since the start of that Tampa Bay series, assuming they win tonight, they'll be 14-0 at home, and 3-3 on the road.
They're probably the best home team in baseball, so when they're at home for a while, they win a lot of games.
We should have seen this coming to an extent when at the all-star break, they'd played the fewest home games in baseball.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
The red sox offense has been great lately. Their bullpen has been far better than it was in the 1st half, mostly due to schilling replacing foulke, and bradford replacing embree. The starting pitching is the same as always....deep, solid, nothing special. Good formula for winning regular season games.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
Which is what I said back in may, when the sox had played far more road games than home games. I was told by more than a few that 'home can't cure all ills.' This is only partly trueWe should have seen this coming to an extent when at the all-star break, they'd played the fewest home games in baseball.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
The White Sox have stormed back into the game. First, they induce an inning ending DP by Roberto "I can walk on water" Petagine, and then have hit back to back homers, to cut the deficit to 3.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
Whenever a team is really on, it seems like no one can beat them. There have been stretches this season where I was absolutely confident the Redsox could beat whoever they came up against, White Sox or Royals... they just found ways to win. Then they'll go into stretches where they're lucky to go .500 against the devil rays, and I'm pretty sure that'll happen again before the season's over. Still 50 games to go, and the Yankees aren't that far back.
