White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
Yet another team plays like gangbusters against the Yankees only to roll over for the Red Sox.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
The Yankees were a few breaks away from sweeping the White Sox. I think we all agree the WS are overrated.

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
this thread should be changed to "the AL bends over for the Red Sox"
seriously...it pisses me off that teams play against us like they will get taken to the electric chair if they dont win.....when they play the Sox, they play like crap
Im not seeing ANY fire from the White Sox tonight....Im not seeing anybody make all these fantastic defensive plays like they did against us...and Im sure not seeing the pitching I saw against us either

Re: White Sox Bend Over For The Red Sox
the difference is...the Red Sox WILL sweep them....while we "almost" did, but lost 2 of 3

Its all in the eye of the beholder. Sox fans are always irritated that the Jays and Orioles play the Sox like they have stolen their wives, but then collapse like a deck of cards when playing the Yankees.

El Duque is far from being an "ace". Don't let the fact that he manhandled the Yankees a few days ago fool you.

I'm amazed at all the Yankee fans who think this game is over...man, as a Sox fan, I wish *I* had that much confidence...

Uh, you're not exactly facing the 1927 Yankees offense here...

I don't know - he has always been impressive against the Sox. And for a period last year, he would not lose, and kept the Yankees in first place, despite all the injuries.

Yes, but our bullpen enjoys making little girls cry. Unless Wake goes 9 innings with no runs allowed, this will probably get interesting at some point.

Yeah, but Wakefield is pitching. Wakefield can turn into a pumpkin faster than any pitcher I have seen. He's cruising .. and all of a sudden - 3 run homer. Game is far from over.

Schilling will give up 4 HR's and they'll still win. That's the state of affairs at this point. The Yankees just have to tend to their business and not look up.

Can't be Damon unless he's pinch-hitting; he's out of the line-up tonight.

Even Mother Nature bends over for the Red Sox. I fully expect a monsoon now that we're beyond the 5th. Once the game is called, sunshine and rainbows...

Blah, rain delay. If we're lucky, they'll call the game...and after that six inning loss to Baltimore, I certainly wouldn't mind.
