Re: Torri Hunter taken off in cart
yeah and he is on my fantasy team
it is a very tough blow for the twins...especially sense they have had little offensive help.

Re: Torri Hunter taken off in cart
Per ESPN he's out 4-6 weeks with a torn tendon in his left ankle

Minnesota Twins center fielder Torii Hunter has a torn tendon in his left ankle and will be sidelined for at least 4-6 weeks, ESPN's Harold Reynolds learned Friday night.
Hunter, who was taken off the field on a stretcher during the Twins-Red Sox game, will remain with the Twins through the weekend, then fly back to Minnesota on Monday to have an MRI. The MRI should determine if the damage is more extensive.

On the ESPN website it says that he's out for 4-6 weeks.

Oh, I didn't realize that somebody already posted this.
That sucks for Hunter and the Twins.

Re: Torri Hunter taken off in cart
When you see the replay it looked bad. he caught his cleat in the padding while jumping against the wall for a catch.....and no he did not cath it.

Tough break for Torri. He's one of the players that makes the highlight shows worth watching, and seems like a really good guy. I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Hmm. The Twins could send the Mets some much needed bullpen help for Cameron......

Tough for the Twins, and for Torii, of course. Here's to his speedy and complete recovery.

I hope he's OK. X-Rays show no fracture. 15 day DL. Such bad timing too-against the Sox, but that figures.

I find it hard to believe that will only be a four week injury.

Re: Torri Hunter taken off in cart
Didn't see the game or a clip of the injury, but from the descriptions it sounds pretty nasty. Hope he recovers fully, would suck for him to lose his speed to an injury like that.

Re: Torri Hunter taken off in cart
He is a fun player to watch- always goes all out and he makes some remarkable plays in the outfield. Always smiles- looks likes he's having fun, has a great attitude. Get well soon Torii!
