I have Randa on a fantasy team. Although he has slumped lately, he's been a productive player this year. He'll miss Great American Ballpark though.

Main impact is the end of the Sean Burroughs era in SD, at least for the forseable future. He will be sent down to AAA Portland while they try to deal him.

Heh, John Donovan expected the Padres to seek out someone like Randa, but he also thought they'd keep Nevin to add a little more oomph to the line up.

If the Padres maintain the division, it seems likely they won't make it out of the NLDS.

Good haul for the Reds. Travis Chick is a stud and to get him for a couple month rental of Joe Randa's career year is a no brainer.

Plus it makes way for Edwin Encarnacion to start.
