    question for everybody

Hey everyone just joined up a couple of weeks ago wanted to say hey...I'm a Yanks fan originally from Connecticut though right now I'm at Marist College in Poughkeepsie (til finals end in a week and a half at least)

Also, I had a question that I wanted to ask. I'm goign to a Yankees-Red Sox game May 29th with my girlfriend, who is a Sox fan (very unfortunately). We've got tickets in the left-center field bleachers behind the bullpens. My question is how bad it will be for her out there...I'm sure people will be giving her a hard time now and then but I wouldnt want anyone harassing her or being too mean...ive only been to one yankees-sox game and i sat in the tier section so im not really sure what its like out there...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

    Re: question for everybody

If you are in the middle of a bunch of Yankee fans with a RS cap.......you'll catch some abuse......I was out their with my daughter (16), neice (22), and cousin at the RS game that Flaherty hit the winning run last year.

People were mocking out each others wives

    little kids were be harrassed

    cursing

people being escorted out left and right..........but, overall, all 4 of us would do it again......you'll make it. I am not a bleacher fan.....mainly cuz U R so far away.........nut if tou like mob mentality for a little while......it'll cure that.

    PEACE

    This thread doesn't belong here.

But to answer your question anyway, expect a LOT of rude language, perhaps people throwing food and/or beer. It's not going to be pretty.

Advice: Don't wear any Boston gear in the bleachers.

I always hated that side of the rivalry. One of my best friends in college was a Red Sox fan from Boston, and we'd always go to Red Sox Yankee games together in both the Stadium and Fenway Park. We always wore our gear and nothing ever happened to us.

Most of the ballpark is fine, but if there's a place to avoid wearing RS gear it's the bleachers.

    Good advice.

If you want to be able to focus on the game, don't wear any Red Sox stuff to the bleachers.

What's so unfortunate about she being a Sox Fan? I'm married to a Yankee fan... so she's probably thinking the same thing! Welcome anyway Dannman. http://www.baseballhalloffame.org/cards/may20-621135312.html
