By the way, from what I understand, over 500 rings were made. Every player who suited up for them last year gets one (even Nomar). I'm guessing that everyone in the organization gets one too.

No championship team has ever been so generous with the championship rings. The highest order before this was around 250.

The player's ring, that looks like Ortiz's in the linked photo, is a different design than all the others.

Despite 5 previous world championships, this will be the first time that the Red Sox organization will give out rings. Previous winners got commemorative pins with the glaring exception of the 1918 team which got nothing.

Oddly enough, some have actually attributed the "Curse" talk to the fact that the 1918 team was dissed.

I haven't seen the "Got Hardware" shirts, maybe they borrowed some from the Patriots?
