The Salary Arbitraton
As you all know, we don't play much baseball in Switzerland
Now, I can read a few things on yankees.com about "Salary Arbitration"...
What do they mean when they say "NY did offer salary arb. to three player"... What is going to change for them ?
Thank you all :-).:: There is no substitute for victory ::.

They go to an arbitrator, who listens to both the team and the player on why they should get a specific amount of money. If arbitrator is in favor of the player, the team can decide whether or not they want to sign him to that contract. If the arbitrator is in favor of the team, the player can decide whether or not he wants to stay on the team.
I don't know the part about draft picks if the player leaves though.

I didn't think that kind of thing could exist
Anyway thanks for answering....:: There is no substitute for victory ::.
