    SportsCenter "Sayings"

Anyone have a particular anchor or saying that they just can't stand? I can't stand when Linda Cohn says, "For the love of elevation!" I used to love when Craig Kilborn was on. He had the best ones ever.

"He's not my Vydas, he's not your Vydas. He's Arvydas." (Arvydas Sabonis)

I also can't stand that Cohn saying. It's painful.

My favorite had got to be Rich Eisens "He gaaaat it".

"Here's the pitch to Giambi, and Giambi gaaaaaat it. His 25th of the year...."

Also, I don't know who says these, but I've heard them more than once.

On a checked swing that counts as a strike:

    "Half swing, full strike"

    And on a high pop:

"That would have been a homer if they were playing in a silo"

    That's a Kenny Mayne classic.

I'm also not fond of a lot of Stuart Scott's...

    "Can I get a witness-ah?"

or any of his hip-hop ones...

"Derek Jeter busts out the magic stick." (which doesn't sound good for other reasons as well.

Mayne, Eisen and Scott are my favorites. it's a shame I hardly EVER see them anymore. It's usually Cohn and some no-name.

I wish Kenny Mayne did more sportscenter.
"he's leaving, that's more beer for us" after a strikeout is great

I remember Kieth Olberman's "it must be a homer, simpson because the pitcher just said d'oh"

I have nothing against women sportscasters, but ESPN needs some more of them because Linda Cohn isn't doing the femal gender justice. She stinks. Stuff just doesn't sound natural when she says it.

Kenny Mayne is the BEST EVER.

My favorite one is this one, that he uses once in a while:

"That's his 12th home run.... not in this game, that would be a record"

And the best was when he was a "manager" of one of the teams in the All-Star game celebs/legends game and somebody hit a home run and when they crossed home plate he said in his usual deadpan voice "Nice job, that's why you're on the team"

Come on Dan Patrick's "the whiff" is the best. I miss the Olbermann/Patrick team. And the Kilborn and Ravech "feelgood edition".

Kilborn was my favorite. The commercial where he is torturing the PA. BWAHAHAHAHAHA. "Nice try skippy, nice try."

    Stewart Scott is the best.

"Cool as the other side of the pillow."
"Can I get a witness from the congregation?"
    "Boo-yah!"

Kilborn was the man, every show during the NBA season there'd be one monster dunk and he'd use..."And then it happened...JUMANJI!" I'm pretty sure he's the one who nicknamed Shaq "The Diesel" too.

I'm starting to get tired of Stuart Scott, but I gotta give him credit for Ph.D.: Playa-Hatin' Degree.

Stuart Scott is my favorite ESPN sportscaster. I love all his ghetto phrases.

It is pretty funny to hear Scott's ghetto sayings. Also, listening to the new ones that the people on Dream Job are coming up with, they are pretty creative.

I used to find him funny, but he keeps doing the same material all the time and I would say he stopped being funny for the last 5 years or so.

    !!!

I love Boomer! I especially love all the classic rock references he slips into his commentary and nicknames (i.e. Woodrow "Tiny" Dantzler... who we should not have let go of, by the way)... always good to know someone appreciates the good stuff.
