Damn. I wanted Woody (that sounds really bad) but James will definitely do.

Dollar for dollar the Phins are better off with James.

Here are some facts about Woody...

He was moved to G because he can't shotgun snap.
He's had weight problems since college.
Every summer he failed Belichick's conditioning run at the start of traning camp.
He ended the season with a knee injury. Not a good sign for an overweight player.

The Lions gave him a $9 mil SB. That's foolish. So much for the spendthrift Patriots having an influence on the game. Russ Hochstein will fill in adequately for under $1mil/yr. His run-blocking isn't as good as Woody's but he's as good a pass blocker, if not better.

    great quote from Woody

"...That's what I really care about right now, is winning. I see this team's commitment to win."

Yes, Damien, you left the Super Bowl Patriots for the 5-11 Lions to.... win. OK.

I have no problems w/players going for the $$$, but c'mon, don't act as if we're fools.

Bingo! In the Belichick system, NO man is bigger than the team, especially one who doesn't care about his conditioning. Happy obscurity in Detroit, Woody! As far as Jeno James, hello again from Mike Vrabel and Rodney Harrison. New tidings of joy to Jeno from a ready Roosevelt Colvin and new Patriots pickup Rodney Bailey
