Stinkin BoSox won't lose
I know it's early and all, but it's driving me nuts the way the Sox won't lose lately. Toronto blew a 5-0 lead today to lose 6-5, capped off by a walk off homer by Nomah in the 9th. COME ON, ALREADY. When is the rest of the league going to start helping us out?

Oh they will lose...remember the infamous BoSox saying: "Fall back, Spring Ahead."

They were winning at about a .700 clip at the end of last April and early May. After the break, they'll go .500 like always.

We'll take care of them ourselves. It's more fun that way anyway.Originally posted by bakntime

I'm still kind of expecting the Sox to hang in there all year.
I think they're a good team, better than they were last year..Of all the things in life I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

To quote my father and I know I have said this before.
"The Red Sox only win in months that are girls names; April, May and June"
It's true if you think about it July, Agust and September is when they are sliding down and if they get to October they don't last[B][COLOR=navy]27

It's Patriot's Day, which (sports-wise) means running of the Boston Marathon, and the Sox start at 11:00am.
Historically, it commemorates the battle of Lexington and Concord, which also included the midnight ride of Paul Revere.

Big E, Boz, thx. I was familiar w/Patriot's Day, but hadn't realized it was today, and that the marathon ran later on today.
Do they always play Patriot's Day at home, rather than on the road?
Stewart singled to deep left center, Hinske scored, Woodward to second.

Yes.
It was a stupid question, but I had to ask. I know a few people in Boston, so it's like a holiday that only that place celebrates.

The Red Sox have played at home on Patriots Day every year since 1960 (except for off days in 1965 and `67 and the players strike in 1995).Dr King (1929-68): A dream is forgotten unless others carry on.

If we run away with the AL East it's gonna be a yawner of a season. Again.
I hope that if not the Sox, then SOMEBODY will win enough games to keep it interesting.SanFrANSKY

I think that the Blue Jays are nice & hungry!!! If they can stay that way the rest of the season, I wouldn't mind seeing them on a wild tear while the June Swoon kicks in big time, as the Sux play .500 ball!!!Originally posted by SanFrANSKY

Yeah, the Jays look really good.
