Too late for Almonte
This is the second season in a row that the Yanks have had to demote him to motivate him to play to his potential. Not only has this frustrated the Yanks to no end, but it likely has killed all his trade value. He has likely been reduced to a trade throw-in. If the Yanks are lucky, they may be able to use him to swing a deal for a lefty before August runs out, but it might be too late. You have to believe that opposing scouts have also seen the indifference that has lead to the same demotion 2 years running and have him on the red flag list.

He should have made the Team out of spring training instead of Enrique.

I'm surprised he hasn't been traded yet. Teams could get him at a discount, and he could turn into a very solid major leaguer.
