Re: Beckham's Revenge
He got sent off 4 years ago for taking a kick at a player in retaliation for being fouled, as I recall. I can't see what he is supposed to be getting revenge for:rolleyes:Originally posted by King Cantona

Re: Re: Beckham's Revenge
Well Mo, he's getting revenge for Simeone's tactics of rolling around on the ground like he'd been shot...Originally posted by CelticMo

Mo
A little kick like that (in fact, a little girlie flick) and he's down like he'll never play again?...
I CAN see exactly how it can be construed as revenge especially as it's the first time we've beaten them in The World Cup since 1966...
1986 it was "the hand of God"....
1998 it was Simeone's play acting...
This time it was Beckham's penalty, complete and well deserved revenge......

Re: Re: Re: Beckham's Revenge
And after Beckham was sent off in 98, he was given a lot of blame for England's eventual demise. I thought it was awesome how Beckham got the winning goal, especially after all the questions about his health, against the dreaded Argentines. Here's hoping for continued English success in their quest for the Cup.Originally posted by King Cantona
