    National League MVP

Barry Bonds was named National League MVP for the 4th time. Sosa was a distant second, Gonzalez was 3rd.

I guess the voters found it hard not to select Bonds after the historic year he had. He broke the record for HRs, He broke the record for walks and he had a staggering .515 OBP. Going by the numbers he wins hands down despite the great performaces by Sosa and Luis Gonzalez. Any one of them, however, would have been deserving candidates.
