Queue up the [not so] Sterling homerun calls. A McHomerun?

I envision a possible legal issue the first time he hits a McDouble.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

Maybe he'll go Scottish on us and echo his Cano call ...

    "Brian McCann! Dinna ye ken?"

    Or ...

"It is Bri! It is far! It is .......... McGONE!"

Good player, just hope he leaves the tough guy act in ATL.

As much as I would have agreed with you before, I kinda want that type of asshole on this team.

And, I love the signing outside of that fact. This was the only signing I thought would be worth our first round pick.

McCann is also supposed to be a great framer and his pitching staff in Atlanta loved the fact that he backed them. The Yankees filled a huge void signing him.

    Love this move.
Yup. Much needed. Don't like the length, but can see a good transition to 1B/DH, which makes things much more palatable. Good move.

Only negative? It just makes the decision to let Martin go that much more stupid.

I just read that McCann falls off a cliff in the second half (over last 3 years).

Sad that we focused on drafting and developing a catcher for so long and a signing like this was still necessary.

I would have preferred we put the money towards Choo and had a Cervelli/Romine combo.

i love choo as a player too... but we can't keep having an entire team of guys in their mid to late 30s.

    Cervelli/Romine =/= major-league catcher.

Does McCain Ellio's still advertise on games? I can see Sterling working in a free plug usage of some slogan.

Thankfully so far I can't find any fictional McCanns...

I respectfully disagree, I have wanted someone to get in Ortiz's face for some time when he hits one and has a martini in a beach chair before circling the bases against us..

I kind of want a little "punk" on this team..
I used to think I was crazy... Now I am sure of it..

That's simply not true. Cervelli's career wOBA is .319 which is above average for a catcher.
