I thought they were protesting because St. Louis mocks cardinals. But no, it's only for worshipping the false God of baseball.

    Ok. Next.
If they ask who was our star, give them 25 names, and if you forget our names, just tell them we were Yankees.

He's safe. Good to see the umpires get together and reverse an incorrect call, especially in the WS.

How the hell does Kozma drop that? Thats a DP ball, inning over. Instead its 3-0 Boston already. They continue to get all the breaks. Sigh.

Hehe. They had a pretty crappy defensive game against the dodgers too in the ALCS. They rebounded well in the next game. It seems like every now and then, they just forget how to field a ball.

Beltran injured--that's even more troubling-- and Wainwright throwing a stinker

This games is over. And all the baseball luck has been going Boston's luck all year - reg season, ALDS, ALCS and now the WS. It is now officially football season

    Poor Carlos Beltran

And their so-called no-hit-slick-field shortstop is making Nunie proud.

Beltran simply owns the post season. It's ridiculous. Sucks he got injured I look forward to seeing him play.

I wasn't aware that the Dodgers played in the ALCS.

Glad to see no one overreacted to one game. However tonight should determine if this will be a short or long series.

Re: WORLD SERIES: Cardinals vs Red Sox

Of course, this series is very early and only one game is gone. However, regarding the Cardinals starting pitching staff, yes they are good. However, the Red Sox went into the Tampa series and had to face Moore, Price, and Cobb, then went into the Detroit series and faced Sanchez, Scherzer, and Verlander who was pitching at the top of his game. I just don't think that the Cardinals top three are better than either of the top three of the teams the Red Sox already faced. We will see if Wacha can maintain his postseason form tonight (as well as see if Lackey can do the same).

Re: WORLD SERIES: Cardinals vs Red Sox

I'm praying the Cards used up their entire quota for the WS in one game for bad karma, bad fielding/non-fielding and just plain bad. In August I went to the Little League WS and any of those teams could have beaten St. Louis last night. Hopefully, I will be able to say the same thing about Boston after tonight.

Ever since MLB adopted the NFL's one and done format, game 1 has been crucial.

It has been ridiculous and yet, in my mind all I can think of is that Willie Randolph must be sitting on his couch screaming at his television, "All I needed you to do was work a walk or get hit by a pitch!"
