Still technically in control of our own destiny but we have to play absolutely amazing to get through this stretch.

The way TB is playing, it probably won't even take 90 wins to get a Wild Card spot.

Re: Countdown to 90 wins - Optimists only

    3 weeks to go

Here is a updated chart of what these teams need to get to 90 wins. We have a tough road but so does everyone else. 5 of these teams will make the playoffs. Everyone needs to win and Tampa is showing how challenging that can be. We start again tonight at Baltimore, KC is at Cleveland, and starting tomorrow Boston is at Tampa for 3 games

    Royals 15-4 .789
    Yankees 14-5 .737
    Orioles 14-6 .700
    Indians 14-6 .700
    Rays 12-8 .600
    Rangers 9-11 .450
    Tigers 8-11 .421
    Athletics 7-12 .368
    Red Sox 3-14 .176

    Still optimistic, let's win tonight!

Boston is so capable of dropping three to Tampa Bay and then our goose is probably cooked. For once, I hope the Beaneaters help us out.

"I remember in the past we had tough games, and I really enjoy those games. Those are the days that I put everything I got on. Those days, you've got to go out and get a win for your team," Nova said. "After you get a win for your team in a situation like that, you feel special. I'm looking forward to tomorrow, and like I said, get a win for the team." -Nova

Love this quote from Nova. I like our chances of being 2 back after tonight.

Suspect pitching and hide-and seek offense is unlikely to go 14-4 against all bad teams. Half the games left are against Boston, Baltimore and Tampa.
    Let the kids play.

Perfect results across the board today. Yankees win, Orioles lose (to us of course), Indians lose, TB lose, Texas lose and Oakland lose. Couldnt ask for any better!

And the beat goes on. Less games out of a playoff spot right now than tonight's Daily Injured total.

Who thought they'd manage to be only 2 games out at this point, after DRob & Logan going down?
