Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 3m Amaro on @MLBNetwork: “Very little chance” that Lee gets moved, “pretty remote” that #Phillies trade Young.

Yea I was listening to that interview and Amaro sounds like he does not plan on moving anyone.

It's GM speak... He's posturing because he's not getting any offers that he likes

I still think Young gets moved

You know, I'm surprised Dodgers haven't inquired on Joba since they can use the bullpen help (evident by their signing of Marmol and Wilson).

Why would they want him? Joba has been horrible, and they already have two shaky guys in their bullpen in Marmol and League.

Francoeur shaves his entire body head to toe so this should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt.

Yankees have renewed interest in Rios. But a move to Yankees would need Rios to waive no trade

I do not understand why they would want Rios, especially after getting Soriano.

What would we do with Rios now that we have Soriano ... unless they think the Hafner injury is going to sideline him for a while. In that scenario I suppose they could make Soriano the full time DH. Otherwise this makes no sense. In any event, I would hope they do not give up anything of value for Rios. Edit: Jax beat me to it.

Something has to give, once Granderson comes back if we trade for Rios that's 6 outfielders

IF we get Rios I think Hafner is done as a Yankee. He will be DFA'd. I can see Wells platooning with Overbay at first base (Overbay plats against RHP and Wells plays against LHP). Soriano will be the DH and Granderson-Gardner-Rios will be the outfield.

    Against LHP:

    Gardner-CF
    Jeter-SS
    Cano-2B
    Soriano-DH
    Granderson-LF
    Rios-RF
    Wells-1B
    Nix-3B
    Stewart-C

    Against RHP:

    Gardner-CF
    Jeter-SS
    Cano-2B
    Soriano-DH
    Granderson-LF
    Rios-RF
    Overbay-1B
    Nix-3B
    Stewart-C

Of course, remains to be seen if A-rod ever comes back. I would much rather see Yanks looks for a third basemen rather than additional outfield help. But I can see how a Rios deal would work to be honest.

*EDIT* I forgot about Ichiro. So yea, something would have to give.

My hope is that for the 9/26 game, Derek Jeter will be the manager and the starting lineup will be announced as:

Batting leadoff and playing CF, #42, Mariano Rivera, #42

Of course, I already have my tickets and this desire has been there since I got them.

I'm sure they are. I guess if the Jays are willing to pay the entire rest of his contract and receive nothing in return, they might find someone who's interested.
