Well I really think it all depends on how the Yanks go this year. The main reason he stayed here was because he believed he had a better chance to win. However his family is still based in LA and the dodgers are understandably very keen to have him back. If we don't make the playoffs and/or don't provide any run support (like we haven't for his last 10 stars) I don't like our chances of keeping him.

The way he is pitching, teams will offer him 3 years if he wants one.

Yep. I would not, if I was a GM, but the league is bereft of talented pitching, and I think that there are some teams that would go three. TONS that would go two.

Nothing else to say. This is it.

His kids are entering the age when they are starting to do everything too (11 and 8). I wouldn't be surprised if he just retired to spend time with his kids before they become teenagers.

I don't think he goes back to the dysfunctional dodgers.

In case the Yanks fall out of it in the next few weeks, I'm salivating at the thought of what Based Hiroki could fetch in a trade
He's a clown. Guy says he's from the 209, what the ................ is that?

Hiroki Kuroda ranks 74th out of 98 pitchers in run support, at 3.59 runs per game. - Olney

Poor guy, that is a joke.

I think the trouble with all our pitchers is that they're throwing the ball like they were pitching to the Yankee lineup. They forget that some people can actually hit.

He would fetch a heck of a lot. Its not like we're winning during his starts anyway so he might be worth a trade. His talents are wasted with this offense.

If Kuroda doesn't allow any more earned runs today and the statistics count (not a rainout), he will end the night leading the AL in ERA.

Pretty insane that the AL ERA leader doesn't get an all star spot

From 2010 to now, Kuroda has the tenth best ERA (better than Halladay and Sabathia) in MLB among pitchers with at least 600 innings during that time.

Pretty insane that he might not even get a WIN in this accursed game, after his heroic post-rain delay return.

    He got a win.

8 out of the last 14 times the Yankees did not allow a run were started by Kuroda.

Crazy. Possibly Cashman's best FA signing.

I'd say so. I expected Kuroda to be good, not as good as he was with LA, but he's basically been the ace of the staff (and among the best AL starters) last year and this .

I'm right with you. I was expecting 3.3-5-ish ERA and just a guy who will go out and give you a good chance to win everytime he's on the bump. Dude is unreal.

Felix Hernandez pitched 8 scoreless innings to take the AL ERA lead from Kuroda.

Kuroda is not among ESPN's five choices for fans to vote for AL Cy Young as of now and isn't among Jayson Stark's Top 11 AL pitchers.

It's probably strikeouts. He simply doesn't get all that many.

Also that the Yankees have been mediocre. Great pitchers on good teams get more attention, of course, and then great pitchers on awful teams (eg King Felix) who serve as their teams' One True Hope.
