I know the one I found is a pain in the butt, half the time its all scaly and blurry and wants you to click for full resolution, then its fine again the next day. Weird.

But I couldn't resist going old school. When else would you get to post a Kevin Maas pic. Tino and Cano were too easy so I went a little off the main path for 24.

The even better part of this picture is that, per Retrosheet, we WON that game, 10-4. June 20, 1978.

We scored 7 runs that inning and, yes, Thurman broke up the DP. Reggie was safe at first, and Retrosheet says that Mike Torrez (remember him?) was ejected, after being removed from the game later in the inning, for still arguing the call of Reggie safe at first, the end of the play in the picture.

Awesome.

This was also three days after the might Guidry struck out 18. We ended the day in the picture 7 games out of first. And to think that the best was yet to come.
