This could work out fine, but I think people are getting a little overenthusiastic about this. Pronk turns 36 this year. He can't play the field even in an emergency. He's only played 100+ gmes once in the last five years. Last year he was had two 6-week DL stints - knee and back. He can't hit lefties at all, and after he came off the DL the first time last year, he really didn't hit anyone.

I've always liked him. I hope he finds the short porch a few times before he breaks down. But I'm not counting on too much.
