Going to miss his regular season play. Playoffs- Not so much.
He was definetly one of the reasons Yanks made it to playoffs the last few years and has been fun to see him wear his passion of the game on his sleeve.Live For The Day

It's also a locker room and they can't be all business all the time. I'm sure Nick wasn't all the fun though.

I have to feel that Nick must come to a new team and everyone loves him. His energy, his excitement, his positive attitude (times 1000). He is the ultimate teammate.
Then, as the days go by, he becomes harder and harder to take. By the middle of the season, they probably all wish he'd go away.
Just my speculation.I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Re: Swisher and Tribe reach $56M, four year deal!!!
I would guess, like anyone with the type of personality he has, there are times when it's wanted and appreciated and there are times when it is grating and annoying. There were definitely some guys on the team he appeared to be closer to than others but when isn't that the case with teammates? They aren't paid to be friends or have the same approach to the game. I wouldn't doubt if some of the more serious guys wish he would tone it down at times.

Swish left camp to go to his mother's funeral, per MLBastian on twitter.
