Ichiro is awesome

First one is plausible. Second one is definitely fake as the the camera zooms in obscuring the balls flight, which is the exact time to move to computer generated effects. First one would be trickier effects wise, so they probably just had Ichiro actually do it until he got all in 1 take.

I think this is pretty darn impressive. Love the faux tie-dye, too. I've loved Ichiro since he burst onto the scene in 2001-- a total joy to watch-- and I REALLY hope he's back in pinstripes this spring!!

seems plausable but probably fake, then again that Tiger Woods commercial where he dribbled the golf ball was real and it took him only 4 takes to do it

Yep - there were a lot of people who thought Tiger's commercial was fake. With somebody like Ichiro, I'd be willing to give him a little benefit of the doubt. Guys like Woods and Ichiro are freaks, for lack of a better word. They do things that sometimes make you wonder if your eyes are playing tricks on you.

I completely believe he could do the first one, although the second one looks fake, I wouldn't put it past him that he could do the second one.

I remember being at a game in like 2003. After batting practice I saw Ichiro casually throw balls to fans in the stands. However he was in front of the 3b dugout and he was throwing them to fans over the RF wall. It looked as easy as your or I playing catch in the backyard.

It is amazing watching major league players play catch live. I would throw out my arm doing what they do so casually.

That's actually the first thing I noticed as well. I suppose him using the characters he uses in his home country it translates into it being very cool in English.

apparently this is pretty common. i think i saw a video where Cal Ripken threw a baseball out of a stadium.

curtis is also pretty fun to watch before a game, throwing from LF to RF and hitting Swisher's stationary mitt in the pocket.

I only wish he'd been on the Yankees for his entire career so that we could see so much more of what he is capable of doing, both on and off the field. He and Matsui are outstanding ambassadors from Japan.

I also would PAY to hear his profanity-laced tirade before the All-Star Game. That has got to be hysterical.

It is - my niece has been living in Japan for the past 6 years and it is cool to see how it has impacted her own handwriting. I also see it in applications from international students from China, Korea and Vietnam.

It looks similar to a friend of mine who is a graphic designer (she's a girl though lol)...I wouldn't be surprised if he's artistic.

I figured as much. It really does look cool. I wish I had the patience to write like that. My handwriting gets sloppier as it goes. I don't know what I'd do without computers and printers.
