Trade Proposals
The Yankees should trade Nova and Chaimberlain for Asdrubal Cabrera from the Indians. Cabrera could play 2nd, 3rd, or Short for whichever infielder is dinged up, playing 3 or 4 times a week. Yankees pitching depth could absorb the loss.

Too many wacky trade proposals.

Re: Trade Proposals
Nova and Chamberlain for Cabrera? There's no way the Indians go for your proposal. Nova might be interesting in a package given his cost-controlled status and potential upside. Why would they want Chamberlain? He'll probably get $2MM in arb and has pitched ~50 innings in the last 2 seasons - 1 of them good and 1 not so good.
And why would the Yankees get Cabrera and turn him into a utility IF?

Re: Trade Proposals
Are we proposing that Cabrera become a utility infielder? If so, why?

Re: Trade Proposals
I took a look at this thread hoping to see an idea along the lines of Leyritz and Bernie Williams for Bonds and Griffey, Jr.

Re: Trade Proposals
Nova is cost controlled while Chaimberlian is proven. How much do you have to give for a proven infielder? I'm just proposing a trade not setting it in stone. What other ideas are out there? Not looking to argue, just want to improve the team

Re: Trade Proposals
I think you're being a bit sensitive, and would suggest you not discontinue posting but perhaps just take a break. You started a thread in the offseason and basically hassled the forum when you didn't get a response within 20 minutes in the middle of Monday Night Football. It's cool that you tossed a proposal out there, but did you expect everyone to agree with it? If not, why are you upset?

Re: Trade Proposals
Pujols can play 1st and 3rd right? A little OF? How bout trading Nova and the Joba for Albert? He could give Alex and Mark a rest now and then? Maybe even shag a few balls in the OF to give our >yet to be determined< RFer a day off once a week.

Re: Trade Proposals
I'm not a huge fan of him as a player, but if he can be had in a true "buy low" type of deal, sure (e.g. something on par with the Swisher trade). He's coming off a pretty poor year and will make ~$14MM this year before hitting FA next year. The Giants just lost Cabrera, and may lose Pagan, so not sure they'd be willing to part with Pence that easily.

Re: Trade Proposals
we should totally sign and trade swisher for pence!
{that was internet sarcasm for those who didn't pick up on it}
But I'd be kind of shocked if the Giants are interested in trading him, he was a huge clubehouse guy in the post season and they have the cash to cover him for the season, especially w/ the post season profits. As false1 points out they aren't exacly flush with outfielders right now. Gary Brown is their only really OF prospect that I know of but his ETA is closer to 2014 than 2013 as I understand it.Baseball is life;
the rest is just details.
