The Blue Jays are on the verge of acquiring Josh Johnson from the Marlins, a source tells Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (via Twitter). Toronto will also land Mark Buehrle in the trade, sources tell Ken Rosenthal (Twitter link) and Morosi. The Marlins will receive Yunel Escobar and Adeiny Hechavarria in return, Rosenthal tweets.

One source tells Morosi that Jose Reyes may also be headed to Toronto in the trade (Twitter link).

A tad soft? They basically landed that haul with a league average shortstop (whose stock was down due to his play and after having an offensive homosexual slur written on his face during a game) and a Nunez-like MI (better glove, worse bat).

No way they'll trade him though. He's cost controlled and the only reason at all for anyone to watch in Miami.

I think Nolasco will be their top paid player next year, and as far as existing contracts go next on the list will be Escobar ($5Mm) followed by Dobbs at an astounding $1.5MM. Just contract that joke.
