There's no rush. Also, if one of them gets hurt or something, the decision would be made for him.

Re: New York Yankees 2012-2013 Offseason Outlook
I wonder what it would take to get Drew Stubbs from the Indians and if it would be worth pursuing. With Bourn signed Stubbs seems the odd man out. He hits right handed has some power and speed but strikes out a ton and doesn't walk much. I wouldn't give up much for him but I would give something because he's better than the right handed alternatives the Yanks currently have for the OF.
Unless Melky Mesa or Zolio Almonte is ready for the show but I think each probably need a year at AAA.Baseball is life;
the rest is just details.

OK.
And suppose Granderson is a full hack out in LF after the spring. Then what? Now you have two players that are unprepared defensively because they were playing out of position all spring long.
Again, these are just thoughts that I have and none of them carry any truth whatsoever.Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.

Re: New York Yankees 2012-2013 Offseason Outlook
Would they really be unprepared defensively? You put them back in their old positions if it sucks so bad, but I don't see how it will. LF in Yankee Stadium is big, but still smaller than CF, and most of the LFs in baseball are smaller again than LF in YS. So I don't really see how Granderson can go from Above Average CFer to Terrible Below Average LFer.
Every CFer in baseball makes the transition eventually! If Damon, Gardner, & Melky can do it, so can Granderson.

Re: New York Yankees 2012-2013 Offseason Outlook
The ball comes to a CFer much differently than a ball coming to a LFer.
In CF, the ball is never curving towards you. In left (and right), half of the balls are moving towards you and the other half away from you.
There are adjustments. I'm not saying Granderson can't handle those changes.
But I am saying that it's not a no brainer of a decision.Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.
