Re: New York Yankees 2012-2013 Offseason Outlook
I was of the thinking that the DH position against LH pitchers would be more difficult.
The Yankees will not be afforded the luxury of having a superstar DH or 4th outfielder this season (as it looks right now). Therefore, I think they'll play a 4th LH hitting outfielder and have the regular OFer DH for that day.Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.

Re: New York Yankees 2012-2013 Offseason Outlook
The poster to whom I responded said all the Yankees needed to do was add a RHed hitting OFer. I pointed out that they also needed a LHed DH and said they would get one. But it seems to me that getting someone who can provide power to the short porch from the left side is important.

Re: New York Yankees 2012-2013 Offseason Outlook
And where do you find a 4th LHed hitting OFer, or DH, within the organization?
Johnson looks like the only alternative thus far to DH from the left side. I can't believe they are not going to add someone else before the start of the season.
But I am repeating myself. If you don't get the point, so be it. I am sure Cashman gets it.

I certainly don't know all of the outfielders in the minor leagues, but I'm certain there is one that bats LH....
And yes - the releasing of Chris Dickerson perplexed me.Welcome to NYYFans, the place where Yankees fans come together to complain about the manner in which our team is winning games.

I think the Yankees are combing the obituaries to look for outfielders... they may sign Musial.

Finally, something that would be logical.
But Hafner and Youkilis in the same line-up would bring the Yankees to an all time ugly low, I'm afraid.

So what happened to the idea of getting a DH who can play the field too?
